Why choose massage therapy?

There are many benefits to be achieved through regular massage therapy treatments from a Registered Massage Therapist.  Whether your need is to have a moment of relaxation, reduce muscle tension or attain relief from chronic pain, a massage can enhance your overall sense of emotional and physical well-being as well as your quality of life.

What to expect:

Prior to your massage treatment, you will be asked to fill out a personal health history form asking questions about your general health. This information is confidential and is designed to help the therapist understand your physical condition prior to the massage. To allow for a full hour of treatment please arrive five minutes before treatment to fill out any necessary forms for the therapist.

Things to consider:

Each individual body responds to massage differently. You may find your body is sore after a treatment and this is a natural response to touch. Receiving massage therapy on a regular basis will improve your body’s response to treatment. To help reduce your recovery time drink water frequently, stretch and allow the body to recover as well as avoid doing vigorous physical activity after directly after a treatment.

How often should I receive massage therapy?

Treatments are dependent on your needs. Treatments that are relaxation based are decided at your discretion. Therapeutic sessions will generally start with three treatments over the course of three weeks, at which point the therapist will determine the frequency of further treatments.

Rates:

Treatments are $65.00/hour, $35.00/half hour, and can be given to the therapist at the time of treatment. Treatments are payable by cash, cheque, debit, American Express, Mastercard and Visa; once payment is made you will be provided with a receipt.
